Fall riding

I went riding today and rediscovered one of the joys of fall riding. For me, anyway.

Acorns. Or rather, riding down a trail under the oak trees and hearing the acorns crunching under my tires. Occasionally an acorn will get wedged just right between the knobs of the tire and trail and it will go ‘poing’-ing off into the brush.

Since it was pretty windy today and the night time temperatures have been dipping into the 30s this past week, I did one other thing today; something from my childhood up at my parents’ cabin. I stood under a big old oak tree and waited for an acorn to hit me on the head. It did, and I was happy.

Oh no! Unicycling, trials style.
