Day 6 – Habitat for Humanity – Baton Rouge 2006

Habitat for Humanity - Baton Rouge 2006 The boys from Texas made it home from their softball game in Texas (they lost) and even brought another volunteer; Jess, David’s son. We also had the core group for a total of 13 volunteers on site.

Unfortunately for us, Baton Rouge broke a 100-year old record high temperature today and I felt every degree. I was nailing sheathing all afternoon in the sun and it was brutal. Still, today we got all the trusses installed on house three and installed the sheathing on house two.

Tomorrow; sheathing on house one, trusses on houses one and two, and roof decking on house three is the plan.
