Habitat for Humanity - Baton Rouge 2006 With less than half the volunteers we need and the foundations not cleaned of forms yet, we’re kind of behind before we start. Instead of dividing into teams – one for each house – we set up an assembly line of folks building unions and window/door sections while the rest mark the foundations and layout the top and bottom plates for the walls. We completed about 75% of the assemblies; the first house is marked, laid out, and most of the walls are built; and the second house is marked and laid out. Habitat provided an excellent lunch and dinner, cold Gatorade water and sodas. We were very well taken care of.

Day 2 starts at 8:00 AM tomorrow.
